Lying on the table
Full of life was I
Watching the masked faces
with reassuring eyes !
Sounds of metal clinking
Nervous wreck was I
The anaesthetic atmosphere
adding to my misery
Suddenly I slipped into a
pleasant dream
& there I was
lifeless but for a heart ticking away
the metals sprang to life
poking,cutting ,
the surgeon's hands deftly moving
There !- the problem is solved
A seamstress's deft stitches
& I am back to my senses !
Opening my eyes I
watch with gratitude
the lifeless forms of those
metals which seemed to be
heaving a sigh of releif
for giving me back my
life and happy for their
own lifeless forms !
